James D.  Nichols is an IT Professional with more than 27 years of progressive information technology professional services experience in IT Consulting, Systems Engineering, and Operations Management. His specializations include Data Center Management, Network Operations Management, and application of IT Service Management (ITSM) and Project/Program Management best practices in accordance with a variety of IT service related frameworks and standards.

His strengths include program and project planning, ITSM process design and improvement, ITSM tool suite development and configuration, Agile development, technology alignment, and transition planning.

Mr. Nichols held various engineering and leadership positions at Goldman Sachs, Spencer Stuart, Allstate, and SWIFT before serving as G2SF’s Sr. Program Manager of the United States Marine Corps’ Enterprise IT Service Management contract. In addition to his client responsibilities, Mr. Nichols is also the ITSM Practice Lead for G2SF and is a frequent speaker of ITSM enterprise solutions and best practices.

Mr. Nichols holds ITIL v3 Intermediate Certifications in Service Design, Service Transition, and Service Operations and is a Certified ITIL Trainer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Management.
