COBIT Awareness e-Learning Course v4.1


Course Description:

G2SF’s COBIT Awareness course is a 2-hour, introductory training course that addresses the importance of IT governance and the need for an IT control framework. The course introduces and explains COBIT at a high level as a best practice framework for IT governance. Users learn how COBIT provides good practices across a domain and process framework that presents activities in a manageable and logical structure. In addition, the course provides information on how COBIT is related to other frameworks, such as ITIL, ISO/IEC 27002, and COSO.

 

Audience:

IT support staff, key business users, and senior IT management.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this course, the student will gain the following competencies:

  • Identify how IT management issues affect organizations.
  • Recognize the need for a control framework driven by the need for IT   governance.
  • Identify how COBIT meets the requirement for an IT governance framework.
  • Identify how COBIT is used with other standards and best practices.

Course Organizational Logistics:

Computer (Pentium IV, Internet Explorer 5.x, cookies enabled, Macromedia Flash Player 6.0, speakers or a headset, and 1,024X768 pixel resolution)

Prerequisites:
None.  (Familiarity with IT Service Delivery is beneficial.
